Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MePicky, including by creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use MePicky.
Eligibility and Minors
You may use MePicky only where use is lawful. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian to use the service.
Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information, maintain account security, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
User Content and Privacy
You retain rights in content you submit to MePicky. You grant us a limited license to host, process, store, and display your content solely to operate and improve the service. Your content is private by default. If you enable sharing, you authorize us to make the selected content available via a share link to anyone who has that link. Share links act like a bearer token (similar to a password): anyone with the link can access the shared page, and the link may be forwarded by others. You are responsible for what you choose to include in your shared content and for controlling who you share the link with. Disabling sharing revokes future access, but it does not prevent people from retaining copies of content they accessed while sharing was enabled.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse MePicky, including by violating laws, interfering with service operation, attempting unauthorized access, infringing intellectual property rights, submitting malicious code, or abusing other users or systems.
Third-Party Services
MePicky relies on third-party providers that currently include Clerk (authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Neon/PostgreSQL (data infrastructure). Their services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
Service Changes and Future Paid Features
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. MePicky is currently offered without paid plans, but paid features may be introduced in the future under additional terms, pricing, and billing conditions.
No SLA or Service Guarantees
MePicky is currently operated as a hobby project. We do not provide a service level agreement (SLA) or guarantees for uptime, availability, response times, data backup, restoration, or support turnaround.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MePicky is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MePicky and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from or related to use of the service. This limitation applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MePicky and its operator from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, create legal or security risk, or as otherwise necessary to protect users, infrastructure, or legal compliance.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the applicable law of the jurisdiction where the operator is established, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be waived. Where permitted, disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the Last Updated date and provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
